The Lamorna is the coat that makes bad weather feel irrelevant. When the wind gets up and the rain turns sideways, it gives you the confidence to step out anyway — warm, dry, and properly covered from head to boot.

Inspired by classic long coats of previous decades, the Lamorna is designed to look elegant and purposeful while delivering serious performance outdoors. It’s made from a medium-weight, hard-wearing, breathable fabric that sits properly in the wind — no flaring open, no flying around, just steady protection.

The Classic Lamorna is unpadded, which makes it brilliantly versatile. You can layer underneath as needed throughout the year, or add one of our zip-in fleeces for colder days. Many customers prefer this flexibility for active use — especially dog walking — where heavily padded coats can feel too warm during movement, particularly in spring and autumn.

The full-length cut is designed to fall over boots, helping keep your legs dry and removing the need for waterproof trousers. With a detachable, adjustable hood and generous internal and external pockets, it’s built for everyday practicality as well as long-term durability.

Made from a fully waterproof, breathable fabric — not a surface coating that wears off — so it never needs reproofing. Stay dry or your money back, with 40 days to trial your coat. This coat is sized to fit comfortably over our optional zip-in fleece. If you don’t plan to wear the fleece underneath, we recommend choosing one size down for a closer fit.

For a warmer insulated version for deep winter conditions, choose the Lamorna WARM.

MATERIAL: "Feels like smooth cotton/canvas". The outer fabric is a textured Dobby weave in 85% polyester 15% polyamide, with a waterproof PU laminate backing. Faux moleskin-lined collar and cuffs.

WARMTH: The Lamorna is medium-weight ensuring you do not overheat during milder conditions and means the bottom half of the coat does not blow open in the wind. Fully lined - not quilted or padded.

LAYERING : You will likely need to layer up for winter weather or you can purchase an optional zip-in fleece.

BREATHABILITY: 3.000 gr/m².

WATERPROOF RATING: 8,000mm hydrostatic pressure test.

LENGTH: Full, over the boot.

HOOD: Yes, with drawstring. Detachable via press studs. Also adjustable via strap and velcro on hood top.

CUFFS: Edged with faux-moleskin and adjustable via two press studs.

SEAMS: Taped.

MAIN ZIPS: One "chunky" zip (we like) for closing against the weather (protected by a material flap) and a second, smaller zip, for adding an optional fleece or gilet. The main zip ends approx. 50cm from the hem.

POCKETS: Outer pockets have covering flaps and press studs to keep contents dry and secure. Inside the coat there is a separate mesh open-pocket and a zip-fastened inside pocket (15x15cm) - handy for your phone or keys.

PRESS STUDS: Strong studs, spaced 14cm apart, that continue the length of the coat until about 24cm from the hem.

Unused returned as new: Any product can be returned if undamaged and unworn (aside from trying on) for a period of 40 days of purchase for exchange or refund (60 days if purchased in November or December). 

Used and worn: Coats can be returned for an exchange or refund if returned and found to be not waterproof (we will test it thoroughly) within 40 days of purchase (60 days if purchased in November or December).

COATS: In general it is best to brush the dirt off rather than washing. The less that coats are washed the longer they will last. The care label can be found on the garment. NO fabric softener or tumble drying as they can dissolve the taping and dry out the laminations which can lead to leaking. 

Tweed coats are dry clean only.
