WARMTH: The Hepworth is lightweight ensuring you do not overheat during milder conditions. Fully lined - not quilted or padded.

MAIN ZIPS: One "chunky" zip (we like) for closing against the weather. The main zip ends approx. 47cm from the hem.
POCKETS: Outer pockets have zips to keep contents secure. Inside the coat there are two pockets - handy for your phone or keys (15cmx15cm and 20cmx9cm).
PRESS STUDS: Strong studs, spaced 25cm apart, that continue the length of the coat until about 48cm from the hem.

COATS: In general it is best to brush the dirt off rather than washing. The less that coats are washed the longer they will last. The care label can be found on the garment. NO fabric softener or tumble drying as they can dissolve the taping and dry out the laminations which can lead to leaking.
Tweed coats are dry clean only.

TAPED SEAMS
This is a method used to make materials waterproof by putting a waterproof tape or liquid sealant along the seams (usually on the inside so it can't be seen).
WATERPROOF
Resists water droplets from passing through. Water resistance is measured by the amount of water, in mm, which can be suspended above the fabrics before water passes.
WINDPROOF
"Windproof" fabric doesn't let the wind come through. It is very useful to keep you warm. Fabrics are made windproof by membrane or by weaving them very tightly.
BREATHABLE
Allows body heat and perspiration to pass through. Breathability is measured by the rate at which water vapour passes through, in units of grams of water vapour.

We are pretty obsessed with staying dry. As well as using our coats all year round, in all weather conditions, we test them in a variety of ways - including a fairly intense hosepipe test. Even after a full five minutes of hosing the coats remain completely dry inside.
